StorageVIEW has been replaced by New Free VM Tool: vScope Explorer

The former VKernel free VM tool known as "StorageVIEW" has been end-of-lifed.

The issues that StorageVIEW *would* have alerted you to can be seen in the "Performance Issues" view of our new Free Tool, vScope Explorer. Go ahead and download vScope Explorer right now for enterprise-wide visualization of performance, capacity and resource efficiency health across multiple vCenters and resources.

vScope Explorer System Requirements and Installation

vScope Explorer installs as a single virtual appliance in OVF Format. System requirements are:

  • 4 vCPUs
  • 8 GB of memory
  • 64 GB of storage space
  • VMware ESX 3.0 or vCenter 2.5 or higher

After download, installation takes just minutes. Quick install steps and an installation video is available here. After an initial data collection, vScope Explorer will begin to provide visualization results based on intensive data analysis immediately.
