Performance analysis, capacity management, planning, optimization and chargeback for vSphere, Hyper-V and RHEV environments that finds root cause and fixes issues instantly with automation
VKernel Capacity Analytics Engine™
VKernel's Capacity Analytics Engine is designed to take raw VM performance data on a near real-time basis and provide actionable results for busy system administrators. Read more...

Accelerated Growth Algorithms
Accelerated growth algorithms follow the resource usage growth of 20 key VM performance metrics and continuously forecast metric levels at the existing growth rate. If this growth rate increases, the accelerated growth algorithms can immediately warn of an abnormality and will importantly forecast when exactly a resource will run out.

Single Fully Integrated 64-Bit Virtual Appliance
VKernel's vOPS Server Standard is packaged as a 64-Bit virtual appliance that can be installed in VMware vSphere, Red Hat Enteprise Virtualization (RHEV) or Microsoft Hyper-V VM format. It integrates all performance and capacity management functions into one system. This integration allows users to access a single system to fulfill all performance and capacity management requirements.

Providing High Performance
Because vOPS installs as a 64-Bit appliance, the embedded database that ships with the product can scale to thousands of VMs, eliminating the need for many virtualized environments to deploy an external database (although it can connect to external databases if still desired). vOPS Server Standard is also enabled to provide maximum application performance through this configuration.
VKernel's vOPS Server Standard provides VM management automation capabilities for performance management, capacity planning, resource optimization and reporting. These functions are easy to implement and maintain, provide robust controls to tailor to an environment and save significant time for a VM administrator. Read more...
VKernel's vOPS API allows for integration of all VKernel performance and capacity management data into external systems through a REST-based API. Additionally, some actions within VKernel's vOPS Server Standard can be automated through triggers stemming from third-party systems. Read more...
VKernel provides seamless integration into VMware vCenter by embedding as a plug-in that can be launched while selecting VMs, hosts, and clusters from the vCenter infrastructure navigation tree. Additionally, VKernel draws VMware performance metric data from the vCenter API to perform advanced analysis. Read more...
VKernel’s vOPS performance monitoring and capacity planning features integrate into Microsoft System Center and can be easily and quickly configured to send alerts to SCOM and PROtip alerts to SCVMM. Read more...
Microsoft Active Directory Integration
Creating and maintaining users with the appropriate permissions occurs automatically through VKernel's integration into Microsoft's Active Directory. Users are automatically created within the initial installation of vOPS Server Standard, and as users are added, removed, or edited within Active Directory, these changes are reflected within VKernel's applications. VKernel draws user information and environment permissions from the roles specified for Microsoft Systems Center, Red Hat Enterprise Management (RHEM) or VMware vCenter. This integration automates user management for a data center's virtualization management software, focusing efforts to VM monitoring, capacity planning, and Hyper-V, Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) and vSphere reporting.
Multi-Hypervisor Support and Data Analysis
vOPS Server Standard deploys as a virtual appliance that can monitor VMware, Microsoft and Red Hat environments. The vOPS virtual appliance is available as either a vSphere, RHEV or Hyper-V virtual machine. vOPS combines VMs, hosts, clusters and resource pools of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualiation (RHEV) into one single virtual appliance. Virtual machines running on different hypervisors can be grouped together for reporting, environment organization and operational tasks with Business Views.
Additionally, the vScope visualization engine will show all VMs regardless of the hypervisor they are running on, on one screen to assess their health for performance, capacity and cost. This technical ability makes vOPS Server Standard fully hypervisor agnostic, and is the optimal virtualization solution for truly heterogenous environments.
