Free VM Tools from VKernel

New Free VMware Tool: vScope Explorer

vScope Explorer is the new free tool from VKernel that visualizes the entire virtual environment across:

  • Resources - CPU, memory, storage, network
  • Datacenters, clusters, host, virtual machines

...to identify peformance, capacity, and resource efficiency issues in your virtual environment based on analysis from VKernel's Capacity Analytics Engine™.

Just hover over the offending red square representing an afflicted virtual object. You will then learn the VM, host, or datastore's name and a description of the problem.

Google-Like Search of VMs with SearchMyVM

SearchMyVM is a 'Google-like' search tool for your VMware environment. Delivered as a virtual appliance, it instantly connects to vCenter and indexes your virtual machines, hosts, clusters, storage, resource pools, files, snapshots, VMware tools, applications, log entries, and configuration information.
