Free Capacity Assessment Tool
CapacityVIEW collects CPU, memory and storage allocations and utilization levels. It then analyzes this data to provide you with desktop Capacity alerts concerning:
- Amount of allocated vRAM
- Virtual machine I/O Latency
- Under-provisioned memory, CPU, storage
- Low capacity for new deployments
- Over-provisioned memory, CPU, storage
Deployment Statistics
You get an easily accessible, desktop view to how your virtualization resources are deployed. This valuable information allows you see the efficiency of your environment and how it can be improved and includes:
- # of VMs, hosts, data stores, clusters, etc.
- Total available CPU, memory and storage
- Resources allocated as a % of available capacity
System Requirements
CapacityVIEW installs on any current version of Windows and easily connects to VMware ESX or vCenter 2.5 and above or VKernel's Optimization Pack 1.2 or VM Stats products.
Other Free VM Tools
- vOPS™ Server Explorer has two free VMware utilities. One utility (vScope Explorer) provides enterprise-wide visualization of performance, capacity and resource efficiency health across multiple vCenters and resources. The second utility (SearchMyVM Explorer) provides a Google-like search of your VMs.
- vOptimizer Free is a free VMware tool that helps prevent VMs from running out of space while also identifying misaligned disk partitions to boost storage performance.
- ApplicationVIEW allows system administrators to effortlessly monitor and diagnose capacity bottlenecks in the environment’s top five application VMs.
- Capacity Modeler easily predicts capacity and performance issues from proposed hardware, maintenance and configuration changes.
