VKernel Reports Record Third Quarter Sales

205 percent increase over third quarter 2008

ANDOVER, Mass., October 6, 2009 — VKernel Corporation, a provider of powerful, easy-to-use, and affordable virtualization management and optimization software, today announced record third quarter sales. The company grew sales by 205 percent through its 2009 third quarter over the same period in 2008.

“Organizations spent a lot of money on their initial virtualization phases and now are wondering how much more it’s going to cost to grow the infrastructure,” said Alex Bakman, founder and CEO of VKernel. “We’re seeing tremendous interest in our software as it allows customers to run more virtual machines (VMs) on their existing hardware by reclaiming unused storage and server resources. They can also rightsize VMs to only use the resources that are actually needed. The instant ROI our prospects see when trialing our software is a direct contributor to our great sales growth.”

VKernel company highlights in the third quarter of 2009 included:

  • Launched and shipped the new Optimization Pack with three new powerful management applets, Wastefinder, Rightsizer, and Inventory
  • Successful VMworld 2009, including significant lead generation activity and validation of the Optimization Pack
  • Moved corporate headquarters to Andover, Mass., to accommodate current and future growth
  • More than 12,000 product downloads in 2009
