Careers: Sales Engineer

Are you knowledgeable and passionate about virtualization technologies?  VKernel is looking for experienced systems administrators and engineers who have hands-on experience with VMware vSphere to fill the role of a sales engineer in our Boston office.  As a sales engineer at VKernel, you will participate in the sales process by showing other admins how they can use VKernel products to solve their problems and more easily manage their virtualized infrastructures.  Sales engineers play a crucial role in the VKernel team and work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management.

An ideal candidate will have the following qualities:

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for virtualization and a drive to become an expert in this field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in managing a VMware vSphere environment
  • Problem solving skills to identify customer needs and how VKernel can help them
  • Strong presentation and communication ability
  • The capability to travel on occasion for trade shows

Additional pluses include:

  • Experience with multiple hypervisors
  • Knowledge of products that compete with VKernel
