Role and Responsibilities
Works with sales team and resellers to drive and close business over the phone for identified accounts based on territory. Follows up on leads to create new business. Responsible for attainment of quarterly and annual team sales quotas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives inbound calls and actively places a set number of outbound calls daily regarding new products and services. Follows up to close business on leads generated from demand creation events (web-casts, tradeshows, etc). Tracks and updates leads.
  • Generates reports on call activity and lead tracking for sales and marketing effectiveness reports.
  • Uses lead tracking tools to forecast sales on a regular basis. Categorizes leads according to probability of sale in order to create accurate forecast report.
  • Provides customer quotes, proposals, order forms, and product information via email. Responds to customer inquiries regarding delivery and expedition of orders.
  • Qualifies leads using Company sales process methodology. Determines customer needs, identifies features and benefits to meet those needs. Attempts to cross-sell or up-sell appropriately. Works independently or with field sales staff to close sales.

Critical Competencies/Minimum Requirements:

  • 2-5 years Inside Sales experience with ability to close deals over the phone
    Great attitude and hunger to succeed
  • Strong achievement against quota with proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals
  • Highly motivated, sales activities include generating 50-75 calls per day, 3 hours of call time
  • Accurate Sales forecasting
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Proven ability to demonstrate a solution over the phone/web conference
  • Knowledge of VMware and Systems Management market is a plus
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to work independently while also being a team player
  • Active Listening Ability
  • 4 Year College Degree Preferable
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM’s a plus
